CALOBA was established in 2002 by a few senior Chinese American lawyers. In a few years, it has grown into an organization of increasing importance and influence in both US and Chinese legal communities. Many of our members are bilinqual and bicultural with legal knowledge of different practice ares incluidng Corporate, Intellectual Property, Litigation, Employment, Customs and Immigration Laws in the U.S. and China. Our organization currently is largely composed of Chinese descendants who practice laws in the Bay Area as well as Chinese licensed lawyers who practice in Mainland China.
CALOBA regularly hosts or co-hosts seminars and presenations that designed to fulfill its general goals of serving as a medium between not only the US and Chinese legal professionals but the societies in general. We welcome lawyers who are situated in other geographies, lawyers who are not necessary bilinqual or well conversant in Mandarin as well as Entrepreneurs, Venture Capitalists, and professionals of non-legal field to join us.

Membership is open to the public, but subject to the approval of the current CALOBA board and its members. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
